Captain Michalis by Kazantzakis in a graphic novel

Panagiotis Pantazis presents a different version of his captain Michalis Nikos Kazantzakis in graphic novels. The book is published by Diopter editions.

A few words about the book
I swore I wouldn’t laugh if Crete wasn’t liberated, o Captain Michael He lives in the Great Castle at the end of the 19th century and the call of the wild accompanies him at every moment.

But when he meets Emine, Nuribei’s brother’s wife, he seems to lose concentration and move away from his values, as if he were possessed by a previously unknown “demon”. As the tense situation between Ottomans and Christians on the island culminates in a series of events that will lead to the Revolution of 1889, Captain Michalis seeks freedom in another area…
