“Homer’s Iliad,” written and directed by Carmen Ruggeri

Carmen Ruggeri and Christina Kouloumpi use the great technical possibilities of Christmas theater in their new directing role, but also with impressive sets, costumes and special effects as well as video projections, and present Homer’s epic, the shocking ILIAD! A project that gives our little friends the opportunity to get to know humanity’s greatest poet, Homer, in an exclusive show in the theater.

Given that in the Iliad the poet isolates only 51 days from the tenth year of the Trojan War, it is good to first introduce the children to the protagonists of the work that we are about to see. That is, who is Helen, who is Paris, Achilles, Menelaus, Hector, Agamemnon.

Then we learn why and how we got to the Trojan War. We then move on to the Iliad, which begins with Achilles’ anger, his argument with Agamemnon, and his retreat from battle. We will also see the involvement of the gods of Olympus in this conflict, the conflict between the Greeks and the Trojans. The death of Patroclus and Achilles’ duel with Hector, which ends in his death.
