Athanasios Psalidas is a historical figure associated with the formation of education, radical thought, and political-revolutionary action to uplift the “Peptokotos genus” of enslaved Greeks.

Goal The aim of this edition is to present to the public a series of documents, divided into the respective sections of Private Life, Public Life, Teachers, Political Life, Publications and Writings and Poetics, allowing the transfer of authentic historical information to the present. The publication represents a representative excerpt of the diverse presence of Athanasios Psalidas, as revealed through manuscripts based on documents from his archive, contained in the “Collection of Stamatios Krinos”, located in the center of Athens at the General Archives Service of the State and, as far as writings are concerned, through the volumes of his works kept in the Onassios Library.
The publication is a continuation of the two successful exhibitions of books and manuscripts by Athanasios Psalidas held at the Onassios Library in Athens in 2019 and at GAK in 2020. (Historical Archives of Epirus), in Ioannina.
