We expect “4 minutes and 12 seconds” for a few more performances

The theater organization “Neos Logos” and the Mavromichalis Studio present until March 31, 2024 the award-winning work of the British author James Fritz, “4 Minutes and 12 Seconds”, translated by Dimitris Kiousis and directed by Fotis Makris.

The play premiered at the Hampstead Theater in London on October 2, 2014 and has since been performed in many countries.

A few words about the project

The 17-year-old son seems to be fulfilling his parents’ ambitions. His grades are good, he is valued at school and all he needs to do is take the final exams to be accepted into the university of his choice. The parents’ sacrifices were not in vain. But a 4 minute and 12 second video circulating on the internet and going viral changes the facts.

A video uploaded for fun. 2 new guys having sex or revenge porn?

Developments are rapid. Relationships are destroyed, balances are shaken.

The twists and turns are varied and unpredictable.

The father is proud of his son.

A mother would do anything for her child.

The son’s best friend tries to keep balance.

The girl knows exactly in which society she is growing up.

And the son?

At a time technology is developing at a rapid pace, the Internet, smartphones, computers, tablets and social media are an integral part of our daily lives and are pushing the boundaries of our ethics. When something goes online, it is never lost. The only thing that could be lost is a part of ourselves.

James Fritz is an award-winning writer from South London, with works for theater and radio including Four Minutes Twelve Seconds, Square Square, Ross & Rachel, Start Swimming, The Fall, Comment Is Free, Death of a Cosmonaut” and “Lava”.
